Swedish Massage

Massage is defined as the manipulation of soft tissue for therapeutic purposes. It is a very ancient form of therapy, and dates back as far back as 5000 years ago. Massage provides a safe and natural way to ease tension in muscles, soothe aches & pains, and improve circulation whilst relaxing the entire body. As such it can be used to treat a wide variety of conditions such as backache; muscular strains & stiffness; muscles knotted from over-use or tension; rheumatism; arthritis; constipation; digestive problems; headaches and stress, to name but a few.

Swedish Massage uses a range of different strokes applied with firm pressure, to stimulate the deeper muscles and eliminate toxins from the body. This type of massage is particularly effective at removing knots and tension from large muscles on the back, shoulders and legs.

Holistic Massage

Holistic means treating the entire person, body mind and soul, rather than just the symptoms. The aim of Holistic Massage is to help the prevention of disease or illness by assisting clients to achieve and maintain a balanced state. It is also used to help alleviate symptoms of imbalance, such as stress, by relaxing and revitalising. 

Using my knowledge of energy healing and therapeutic massage techiniques, I can assist in bringing the mind, body and spirit back into complete harmony. The strokes tend to be more soothing and relaxing than with Swedish Massage, though more pressure can be used when necessary.
